T Mobile’Project 10 Million’ aims to bring “reliable and affordable” internet service to eligible student families. Since the program began in 2020, more than six million students have “connected” to Project 10 Million. But there’s still a long way to go T Mobile has reached its goal of connecting 10 million students. The use of technology in education, including class work and homework, has grown by 226% in the past five years, making it vital that students learn how to use this technology.

More data is needed because students are given digital assignments that they have to research. In addition, additional data is needed for video streaming, video lessons, and video calls, which students need to access via their computers and tablets to complete their studies. The FCC says that 17 million schoolchildren across the US are still without reliable internet access. To make things better, T Mobile today announced that it is improving its Project 10 Million by increasing data allowances for more students.

Other than this, T Mobile The Boys & Girls Clubs of America is working with artist and activist Common to help more students get the internet access they need to succeed in school. These changes will begin Thursday, September 26, as eligible students from kindergarten through 12th grade sign up for Family Project 10 Million. T Mobile Now, 200 GB data will be available per year for five years, which is double the earlier 100 GB data.

Existing Project 10 Million subscribers will also get additional data for the remainder of their five years. Student families who hit their data limit will be able to purchase a new deeply discounted 10GB data pass for $10. Starting next month, Project 10 Million participating school districts with the greatest needs will have the opportunity to get more data, up to 200GB.

T Mobile Project 10 Million was announced in 2019 and launched a year later, providing 10 million at-risk students with free hotspots, free data plans, and access to laptops and tablets. T Mobile Project 10 Million has continued to improve to include a variety of options for schools and families. To date, T Mobile The program has provided $6.9 billion worth of products and services, engaging more than 6 million students.

Additional Project 10 Million back-to-school activation events have been held or will soon be held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Tacoma, Washington; Kansas City, Missouri; and Oklahoma City. T Mobile Last year, it released a video announcing that it was halfway to its goal of connecting 10 million at-risk students. We covered it in this article.
