Lamine Yamal scored his first goal in the Champions League when his equaliser in the 28th minute cancelled out Magnes Aklioche’s first. And it was another impressive goal, as Yamal cut inside from the left before passing between two defenders to slot the ball into the bottom right corner.

“He gave us a lot of relief, at 1-1 it was a different game,” Barcelona midfielder Pedri said. “A fantastic goal and I’m happy to be with him.”

David Raya saved Arsenal with a double save from the penalty spot after Ederson was tripped by Thomas Partey in the 51st minute.

Mateo Retegui’s spot kick was saved by the Spain international, but the ball came back to the striker, whose header was cleared off the goal line by Raya.
