Will Brennan is also hitting well. He has a .300 batting average over the last week with a triple but only one RBI and one score. The Guardians have not been scoring well recently. He has only batted .250 this past week, but has an on-base percentage of .455. He has four home runs and five RBIs, while he has struck out six times this past week. Oswalso Cabrera has also hit well. He batted .357 this past week, but with just one RBI and two runs scored. As a team, the Yankees have batted .216 this past week, with eight home runs and 18 runs scored in five games.

Latest Guardians-Yankees prediction and selection

Nestor Cortes had a nice rebounding game last time out. He had struggled in his previous four starts, allowing 19 runs in 19 innings in four starts before his last appearance. Still, the Guardians aren’t scoring well. They’ve had trouble scoring runs and had even more trouble simply making contact. The Guardians had 36 hits plus walks in the last game while having 33 strikeouts. With the Yankees offense, they should have enough power to give Nestor Cortes run support in this game. Cortes has faced the Guardians once this year, allowing four runs in four innings, but that was in April. The Guardians’ offense isn’t at the same level now, so bet on the Yankees to win.
