Jordan Love Injury Updates: Packers QB suffers MCL injury against Eagles
The Green Bay Packers made the long journey to Brazil, only to fall Philadelphia Eagles34-29, in their 2024 NFL season opener.
Now the Packers and their fans are hoping for good news about the status of quarterback Jordan Love.
Update: According to multiple sources, Love suffered an injury to his medial ligament in Friday night’s game against the Eagles. showed that the anterior cruciate ligament is intactHowever, the quarterback has sustained an injury to his left knee and is expected to be out for some time, although the injury does not mean the end of the season.

According to Tom Pelissero, initial indications from the team suggest that Love could be out for three to six weeks due to his injury:
Previous: After a short field goal by Eagles kicker Jake Elliott gave the Eagles a five-point lead in the final minute, the Packers had one last chance to pull out a win. Green Bay began its final possession at its own 16-yard line with just 22 seconds left in the game, but a long pass from Love to Jayden Reed gave the Packers a glimmer of hope.
On the next play, however, the pocket around Love collapsed. While the Packers quarterback was able to throw the ball to Josh Jacobs, who gained eight yards, Love was trapped between two Eagles defenders and remained lying on the grass for a long time, clutching his left leg:
Love had to be helped to the sidelines, where he remained for the final two plays of the game.
Backup quarterback Malik Willis, recently signed by the Packers at the end of training camp, played the final two plays, which included an incomplete pass and a sack.
After the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was asked about Love’s status but no update“I don’t know,” was the only answer from the Green Bay coach. Tom Pelissero shared this update, which first tests showed that the quarterback’s anterior cruciate ligament was “intact,” but further news was expected after imaging studies were completed.
Love, who led the Packers to a stunning victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round a season ago, signed a massive Contract extension this offseason.
