After just one year away and two years left on his Barcelona contract, Ilkay Gündogan is back at Man City and is about to sign a one-year deal.

He will have to undergo a medical at City before a free transfer as Barca simply do not want him anymore given his huge salary and the summer spending on Dani Olmo.

Leicester wants Ayew from Palace

Another player could be leaving Crystal Palace right now: Jordan Ayew is on the agenda of Leicester City, which continues to strengthen and tries to stay in the Premier League.

The Foxes are keen to sign the versatile striker quickly as the Palace player has a year left on his contract and he appears to be well outside Oliver Glasner’s preferred list of attackers.

CLOSED: Liverpool sells young midfielder Bobby Clark to Salzburg

The Premier League The club also has a 17.5 percent sell-on clause and a matching rights agreement in case they want to buy him back.

Joachim Andersen joins Fulham in the centre-back carousel

Crystal Palace have fended off offers for Marc Guehi, but his central defensive partner Joachim Andersen is leaving the club – Fulham have promised him a £30 million deal.

He has undergone a medical and will join a club he previously played for on loan in the 20/21 season.

While this does not directly impact Marc Guehi, it could still influence what happens and who does what.

Newcastle now want Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen after rejecting Guehi, but Axel Disasi is also an option. Palace are also said to need a new defender, and Leverkusen will sell Jonathan Tah or Odilon Kossounou if they have to before Tapsoba leaves – as they want to sign Sepp van den Berg from Liverpool.

The Reds have already accepted an offer from Brentford for the Dutch defender, so he has a decision to make, but Leverkusen must sell before they sign a new player for that position.

Wolves have been offered B04’s other two defenders, but are instead negotiating with Burnley for Dara O’Shea; Ipswich and Sheffield United’s Anel Ahmedhodzic are also interested.

In short: Andersen has his future completely under control, for everyone else it is now a matter of dominoes and a dangerous game of confrontation: who can wait the longest before deciding where to go?

Liverpool and Arsenal fight for Lookman

A new rumour that could mean big headlines if it turns out to be true: Both Liverpool and Arsenal have shown interest in Ademola Lookman, the hat-trick hero of Atalanta’s victory in last season’s Europa League final and key player for Nigeria, who finished second in last year’s Afcon.

The Serie A club is valued at €75 million (£63.7 million), so there could be a big difference between the two valuations, with Arsenal rumoured to be willing to offer around £42 million including a swap deal.

If this transfer goes through, Jakub Kiwior could move to Atalanta. However, Liverpool may also join the squad after a possible transfer to Paris Saint-Germain fell through.

Deal agreed! Liverpool sells Sepp van den Berg to Brentford

Numerous reports have emerged in the last few hours suggesting Liverpool are selling a second young player to Brentford following Fabio Carvalho’s move to the Bees for £27.5 million.

Now defender Sepp van den Berg is set to follow him; a contract worth £25 million plus £5 million in additional payments has been negotiated for the Dutch defender.

The 22-year-old centre-back featured heavily in pre-season but was not involved in the Reds’ opening weekend win over Ipswich. He was ahead of Jarrel Quansah and Ibrahima Konate, with Joe Gomez also an option in the middle.

Liverpool have not signed anyone yet, but this deal would take their revenue well over the £50 million mark, all from Brentford.
